THEATRE OF THE NO

A musical journey through the decades that shaped the evolution of modern music

THEATRE OF THE NO welcomes VANILA SWING back to its stage on Friday, 13 November at 21:30, with “From Swing to Rock ’n’ Roll”, a special live performance celebrating the musical journey from swing to rock ’n’ roll.

With 15 years of an energetic presence on the Athens music scene and countless performances across Greece, VANILA SWING bring to life the evolution of the music that shaped the modern era. From American juke joints and glamorous ballroom halls of the ’30s and ’40s to the clubs and concert stages of the ’50s, they take audiences on a journey through an era defined by rhythm, energy and authentic vintage style.

Rooted in swing and rhythm & blues, the band presents a live set featuring songs that have defined generations  celebrating an era when rhythm, groove and electrifying stage performances helped shape a whole new musical world.

Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and Ruth Brown meet Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, Wanda Jackson and Jerry Lee Lewis in a musical journey where the elegance of swing gradually transforms into the explosive energy of rock ’n’ roll.

A live show full of groove, nostalgia, authentic swing feeling and non-stop dancing — a reminder of the power of music to bring people together!
