Chara Lianou is an actress, director, and translator. She is a graduate of the “”Contemporary Theatre of Athens””- G. Kimoulis Drama School, with postgraduate studies in acting and directing at the University of Cyprus.
As an actress she has participated in films and series (TV/streaming), and collaborated with directors such as Costa Gavras, G. Kimoulis, N. Kamtsis, L. Papadopoulos, M. Karaleka, A. Georgala, K. Dedes, St. Markides, St, Athanasiou, T. Kotsiras. She has also voiced animated characters both in Greek and English for TV and streaming platforms.
As a director she participated in the collaborative performance “Roads to Rescue”” at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation and has also written and directed the short film “”Marble Women””. She is a founding member of the “Steeplechase” dance-theatre company.
