Robert McNamara is a seasoned actor and director with a career in theatre, film, and television since the early 1970s. A Washington, DC native, he earned his B.A. from Georgetown University and an M. Litt. from Trinity College Dublin, where he founded the Dublin Stage One Theatre Company.
Notable performances include Kenneth in The Ginger Man, Ulysses in The Caveman Cometh, and Agamemnon in Agamemnon (which he directed). His film credits feature The Messenger, America’s Most Wanted, and the cult classic The Exorcist.
Currently, Robert is the Artistic Director of Scena Theatre in Washington, DC, where he directs productions with top European and American talent and frequently tours in Europe.
