Bassist and composer Yiorgos Pantazopoulos presents his new album “Some Things I’ve Never Told You”, on Friday, June 5 at 21:30, at Theatre οf The NO, joined by the Yiorgos Pantazopoulos Trio and featuring iconic saxophonist Takis Paterelis as a special guest.

A graduate of the Ionian University and an active member of Athens’ new jazz scene, Yiorgos Pantazopoulos signs a debut album featuring original compositions and new arrangements, built around one of jazz music’s most timeless and historic formats: the piano trio.

The album combines the sound of the piano trio with the distinctive musical voice of Takis Paterelis, creating a result marked by intensity, lyricism and a contemporary aesthetic. All compositions and arrangements were written in Corfu during a period of major personal and artistic transitions, with music serving as a guiding force throughout this process.

Consisting of eight tracks, five original compositions and three arrangements  the trio shapes a sound influenced by different aspects of the jazz tradition, from the Ray Brown Trio and Billy Strayhorn / Duke Ellington to Roy Hargrove, while always maintaining a modern perspective and sound.
