Theatre of the NO, Athens’ first English-speaking theatre, presents a special live performance by acclaimed pianist and composer Georgios Tsolis and his trio. Join us for an unforgettable evening dedicated to Tsolis’ original compositions, where modern jazz meets deep musical storytelling. On Saturday May 31st at 22.30.
The concert will feature highlights from his four solo albums: On the Way (2012), Walk in the Line (2019), Back Home (2020), and Methexis (2023). These works reflect his passion for improvisation, musical dialogue, and the spiritual depth of contemporary creation.
Georgios Tsolis has had a long-standing career on the international jazz scene. With studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and collaborations with renowned musicians such as Heijn Van der Geyn, John Ruocco, Ronnie Cuber, and Marc Copland, he is one of the most mature and intriguing figures in European jazz today.
The trio’s concert offers an authentic experience of musical interaction, blending the intensity of improvisation with the lyricism of composition. The audience will have the opportunity to hear works that bridge jazz and contemporary classical music, in a performance that showcases the continuous evolution of musical expression.
