Theatre of the NO presents

KRAPP’S LAST TAPE

by Samuel Beckett

Opening Monday 16 February

Theatre of the NO presents Samuel Beckett’s “Krapp’s Last Tape”. A one-act masterpiece that delves into memory, regret, and the passage of time, opening on 16 February every Monday at 20:30.

The production invites audiences into the solitary world of Krapp, an aging man listening to recordings of his younger self, confronting the memories, regrets, and choices that have shaped his life. Wry, haunting, and quietly devastating, Beckett’s play explores time, identity, and the impossibility of fully knowing oneself.

Directed by Elvira Poulianou and starring American actor David Gilliam, the production brings together a remarkable team with decades of stage and screen experience. Krapp’s fragile yet piercing journey is both deeply personal and universally resonant, inviting audiences to reflect on their own lives as they watch his unfold.

Though only one man appears on stage, the echoes of Krapp’s past create a chorus of unseen characters and moments that feel achingly familiar. Beckett’s precise language, dark humor, and moments of silence make the play an unforgettable experience a meditation on memory, loss, and the strange intimacy of listening to oneself across time.
