“It’s a game. Everything is a game” Beckett, on Godot, 1975.

• What is there left to say about Waiting for Godot? Voted the “Most Significant English-Language Play of the 20th Century”, it offers a unique set of opportunities and challenges to audiences, actors and theatres.
• We are EMBRACING THE RISKS and presenting this iconic play in English as our opening production in Athens.
• Everyone should see it at least once. Every actor should be in it at least once.
• At the Theatre of the NO you will not see a typical Godot, because there is no typical Godot.
• You may have seen it a hundred times. But it’s our first time. Here in Athens, in English.
• And after you see it, we want you to talk to us about it.
• Our doors are opening, and our minds are open.
• No synopsis is appropriate, no preparation is sufficient, no understanding is required.
• Beckett himself said, once, in conversation: “It’s symbiosis”. What happens, and what it means, is experienced only by being there. And being there makes it what it is.
• Be there with us, as we start this exciting new theatrical journey with one of the most famous plays ever written. Book now.
