Stand-Up Concert with Puppets
Italian guttural singer-songwriter Roberta Carrieri and acclaimed saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Gilad Atzmon will meet on stage on Sunday, March 22 at 21:00 at Theatre of the No for a unique stand-up concert with Puppets that blends music, humour, and theatricality, while celebrating music, languages, and cultural diversity.
Gilad Atzmon, with deep roots in jazz, and Roberta, with a background in folk and rock, will creatively explore each other’s musical worlds, offering the audience an evening full of surprises and musical variety. Also on stage will be Roberta’s magical puppets, Kouklamou and Ninìu, which come to life through singing and ventriloquist speech, creating a truly unique theatrical experience.
Roberta Carrieri has collaborated with artists such as Fiamma Fumana, Davide Van de Sfross, Davide Toffolo (Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti), Flavio Oreglio, Moni Ovadia, Nino Frassica, and Maccio Capatonda. As a soloist, she has released three albums of her own compositions and lyrics, gaining audiences in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Greece. Her distinctive irony and humor have made her widely beloved, and her participation in the 11th season of The Voice of Greece left the judges astonished with her puppets.
In Greece, Roberta has collaborated with Nikos Stratakis and recently released two new songs in Greek. The song “M’ aresoun oi chontroulides”, featuring rapper Taki Tsan, went viral on Instagram and TikTok, confirming her originality and talent.
