Composer Yiannis Glezos presents a special evening of music and poetry titled «Eternal Wind» Poems & Songs – Songs & Poems”, on Sunday, December 21, at 21.00, at THEATRE OF THE NO.
In this new solo performance, the deeply political and poetic creator will appear alone on stage, performing at the piano songs from across his musical journey and reciting his newest poems.
The performance unfolds in two parts. In the first part, Yiannis Glezos presents poems from his collection “Eternal Wind”, a series of lyrical and reflective texts that explore the social, political, and existential pulse of our time. Through his expressive delivery, he weaves a profound dialogue between word and emotion, offering the audience an experience of deep connection and introspection.
In the second part, the composer performs songs from his rich and diverse repertoire, including some of his most beloved works – Apo erota pethainoun ta klaria, Eleni tou Mai, Na eixa ti dynami, Vrohi sta deilina, Karavia makrina, along with musical settings of poetry by Lorca, Neruda, Karyotakis, Cavafy, and Sappho. He also presents new songs set to poems by Eva Litina, featured in the double album “Ta Pathiasmena” (The Passionate Ones) and accompanying his poetry collection “Eternal Wind” (Metronomos Publications)
With his distinctive interpretive style, Yiannis Glezos weaves together poetry, music, and personal sensitivity, creating an evening of profound artistic confession and lyrical intensity.
